Apple iPad Vs RIM PlayBook Vs Samsung Galaxy Tab: The tablet PC is one thing that has seriously captured the imagination of all the buyers and potential buyers dwelling all across the world and the craze just seems to get bigger and bigger as the days go by. The first tablet computer was developed by Apple and it was called the iPad; the device has a way to go before it completes a year in the market and it has already sold millions of its units.
However, the iPad was thus far ruling the roost without having any competition whatsoever and it was selling like fruits. But now the picture has changed and there are more players in the market that they will have to contend with. The iPad was a great concept and kudos to Apple and Steve Jobs for bringing the tablet to this world out of nowhere and suddenly people could pack a computer and a mobile into one and with easy portability of the device, all their problems were sorted at once.
However, once people have something they never remain satisfied with that and they want more improvements. The Samsung Galaxy Tab can not exactly be called an improvement but it gave people more flexibility. The Galaxy Tab is an Android Tablet so it is a trifle more open to acceptance and users like the fact that it would not be contracted exclusively to a particular carrier.
Also the 7 inch screen against the 10 inch of the iPad is agreeable to some as it makes the device further more portable. However, when it comes to features, the iPad is apparently head and shoulders above the Galaxy Tab. But then Samsung Galaxy Tab and Apple iPad are not the only contenders in the market for the tablet PC. Research in Motion has the RIM Playbook almost ready.
That tablet would run on the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system; making it a battle of the OS makers as well. The Playbook would be a 7 inch tab but it would be as packed with features as the iPad is. If anything, it will have the edge by offering enterprise solutions and highly encrypted security. That will make it even more popular with the business class users.
