Made by Stuart HughesiPad proved it is not just another pretty gadget by gaining popularity in 2010. The gadget is versatile and can be used for personal and business projects. This is made possible thanks to the multitude of applications, or apps, available for the product, but while you might expect to pay for a few dollars to get an app, you might be surprised at the price of some.
$69.99 – SuperFarm: Yes, it is a game. It was probably made after the success of farming games on social networking sites. It has been reported as one of the most expensive games on iPad.
$99.99 – Creston Mobile Pro G: This app connects with a home automation Creston system. Since this will not probably work without the whole system, it may only be useful to those who actually have the hardware. The hardware can cost over $100.
$189.99 – Proloquo2Go: This is an app that was developed for people with speaking difficulties. Because other alternatives might be too expensive, this app might actually be worth the price. Of course, you need to have an iPad first.
$299.99 – Becker’s 2010 CPA Mobile Flashcards: This one is the most expensive education app and is said to be useful if you are preparing for a CPA exam by providing you with flashcards. However, the price might be a little intimidating for many people.
$299.99 – Lexi COMPLETE: In the medical category, this is the most expensive app. Its complete medical database may be useful for doctors who want to replace their hardcopy with software, but it is of little use to everyone else.
$899.99 – SiteClone Publisher: This app which costs almost twice as much as the iPad itself might help you if you own a website or an online business; it helps “supercharge your web content” and publishes it “to iPod, iPhone and iPad users.”
$1,000 – BarMaxCA: This app has been dubbed “the Most Expensive iPhone App to date.” It was made with thousands of pages and hundreds of audio materials specifically for Californian Lawyers to help them prepare for the California Bar Exam.
