Swedish media group Bonnier is planning a series of iPad apps for its newspapers that are based on a new design standard, website Journalism.co.uk reported.
Bonnier, which owns titles Dagens Nyheter, Dagens Industri, Sydesvenskan, Borsen and Expressen, in 2009 previewed Mag+, a magazine design platform for tablets and touchscreen devices that has since been used for a number of its magazine titles.
Bonnier also created a sister platform, News+, which the publisher describes as "the daily newspaper if it had been invented today," Journalism co.uk. said. Bonnier also launched a new product for iPad and tablet devices that goes beyond repackaging its print products.
